About Covid Plan.
As part of our support for Nigeria at this time, AIICO Insurance and AIICO Multishield are offering a Corona Virus Disease (COVID-19) insurance and health care cover that pays out if a policyholder is quarantined in a government containment center or admitted in a government hospital or treated in an intensive care unit of a government hospital or as a result of being exposed to the disease. This helps to further cushion affected patients’ expenses and loss of income.
Required Documentation :
- Completed Proposal Form
- Proof of identity of the Proposed. One of the following is acceptable: Driver’s License, Voter’s Card , National Identity Card
- Evidence of premium payment.
Areas of cover:
- This product covers only residents of Nigeria and is available to residents across the 6 geo-political zones
- Cover ceases should policyholder visit any of the WHO Covid-19 watch list countries during the period of cover.
- Individuals who have visited any of the listed countries in the last 6 months may not be offered cover.
Claims Required Documentation
- Original Copy of the Policy Document will be required
- Proof of the insured event such as Certificate/Letter from a Government Medical Officer to be quarantined, admitted in hospital or treated in ICU for COVID-19)
- Proof of identity of the beneficiary or policyholder will be required
- Account details of beneficiary(ies)will be required
Benefits of AIICO Covid plans are:
- Quarantine:
The policyholder will receive N100,000 once this occurs. .
- Death as a result of COVID-19:
The named beneficiary(ies) will receive N200,000 if death occurs to the policyholder . .
Benefits Schedule for policy holders
- Benefit Option 1:
A daily cash benefit of N3,000 if client is quarantined in a Government Approved Facility, due to COVID 19
Total Limit of Liability is =N=100,000. - Benefit Option 2:
A daily cash benefit of N5,000 if client is admitted in a Government Approved Facility, BUT NOT ICU due to COVID 19.
Total Limit of Liability is =N=100,000. - Benefit Option 3:
A daily cash benefit of N10,000 if client admitted in a government approved ICU due to COVID-19
Total Limit of Liability is =N=100,000.
Death Benefit is =N=200,000
